Labor Law: Tierno and Associates, LLC has in-depth expertise in traditional labor relations in the workplace, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements and handling grievance arbitrations as well as representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board and the Public Employment Relations Commission. Moreover, employers are often unaware that they have obligations under the National Labor Relations Act, even when their workforce is not unionized. We can help you understand and implement appropriate policies when necessary.

Special Education: With particular expertise in handling disputes between schools and parents of students with special needs, Tierno and Associates, LLC has advocated for identification, eligibility, and program placement for special needs students of all ages from preschool through high school graduation. Although we attempt to avoid unnecessary litigation by enabling satisfactory outcomes for students, parents, and educators, we are also experienced practitioners before the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law and can handle settlement conferences, mediation and litigation when needed.
