MEDIATION
At Tierno and Associates, LLC, we believe that we have an obligation to assist adversaries in reaching the best possible settlement in a cost effective manner.
However, a case that is being litigated may also be settled out of
Court. The Judiciary of the State of New Jersey offer a variety of
different routes to settlement, such as mediation, arbitration, and
litigation.
Mediation is essentially a conversation between the adversarial parties,
with a neutral party (the “mediator”) trying to help all parties reach a
settlement among themselves, rather than having a settlement ordered by
the Court. The Judiciary maintains a list of qualified mediators,
including Dominick J. Tierno, Esq., who can help you resolve issues in a
non-judicial environment.
If you are involved in a disagreement with someone else, but you do not
believe that the matter can be resolved by the Courts in a cost
effective manner, please feel free to contact us, and we can provide a
trained mediator to listen to all parties, and recommend a path to
resolution. This service is billed to all parties on an hourly basis,
and requires the consent of all parties prior to mediation.
